Click Notes in the session sidebar to write notes for the visit. Notes are available once the session has a reading or an adjustment, and can be printed with the report.
Draft a SOAP note
On a Mac with Apple Intelligence (macOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on), PulStar can draft a SOAP note from the session. The Generate SOAP Note button appears when the notes are empty.
Click Generate SOAP Note, read the disclaimer, then click I Understand, Generate.
Enter the patient's subjective complaints, symptoms and concerns, then click Generate.
If asked, enter the doctor's name (it is saved for next time) and, for a session without a patient, the patient's name.
The draft is created on your Mac.
Important: AI can make mistakes or miss clinical details. The attending doctor must review, verify and edit every generated note before it is used in patient records.
To change the notes after a visit, open the visit in Review, choose Summary, then click Edit Notes.
